People considering careers in health care should have a strong desire to help others, genuine concern for the welfare of patients and clients, and an ability to deal with people of diverse backgrounds in stressful situations. The job outlook for the healthcare industry is quite rosy, already one of the largest industry, many of the fastest growing are within the healthcare industry, and the industry is instead expected to grow over the next decade. One of the reasons is that the number of people in older age groups will grow faster than the total population between now and the middle of the next decade. This group of people, known as the baby boomers, would have a much greater than average health care needs and as a result, the demand for health care will increase. If you really want to understand what makes the U.S. economy tick these days, don't go to Silicon Valley, Wall Street, or Washington. Just take a short trip to your local hospital. Park where you don't block the ambulances, and watch the unending flow of doctors, nurses, technicians, and support personnel. You'll have a front-row seat at the health-care economy...
